Motor Investigation Agency (MIA) has expanded rapidly since being founded by Wynn Hughes in February 1995. Having passed our tenth anniversary, we are stronger, focused and more confident than ever before. Business has progressed from a dedicated MIB claims handling unit to a nationwide claims investigation and handling service used by most major insurers, solicitors and MIB. We recognise the need to evolve with the industry and have a strong combination of youthful enthusiasm and a wealth of technical experience enabling us to succeed. Our team are our major asset and we have recognised this fact by applying for and achieving the Investors in People standard. Transparency of Company Policy and goals along with strong training initiatives are key factors that we endorse. We are making significant investment in IT hardware and software to enable us to transact business digitally and are continually working on system upgrades to improve performance. Our objective is to be more web focussed for speed and efficiency. We are committed to steamlining all internal office procedures and have recently achieved ISO 9001 2000, a government approved quality standard (see below). The steps we are taking will reflect in an increase in service and quality without the anticipated price rise. Motor Investigation Agency are fully committed to giving our clients a quality, bespoke service at a highly competitive price. ISO 9001 Over the last 9 months we have been working on achieving ISO 9001/2000 accreditation and we are pleased to announce, that we have recently passed the final assessment. The decision to undertake this project, was made on the basis of a recognition for the need to ensure that our internal processes are organised in such a way, so as to exceed our client’s expectations. A considerable amount of work has been undertaken in streamlining and documenting our processes, these are now constantly maintained by means of an ongoing audit. The system that has been put in place will therefore be maintained, so as to ensure that once we are instructed our client’s requirements will be met, without the need for any reminders from them. Clients MIA's client base includes most major insurance companies, motor insurers bureau (MIB), bus companies, defendant and claimant solicitors and national / international loss adjusters.
